A Weak Week for Pound Sterling!

The past months have not been exactly easy on Britain’s currency, the pound.  After the country slipped into a recession at the end of 2008, the pound was on a rollercoaster ride, dealing with the many pitfalls of belonging to a country whose financial sector was struggling to piece itself back together.  Currently, it is still sitting at just above parity with the euro and this week alone it fell to 10-month lows against the dollar.  No matter how much in the way of PR release on foreign exchange is carried out to boost the pound, it is still hard to ignore that travel to Europe is currently pricier than comfortable for Britons.
